Black Women In Menopause
Black Women in Menopause (BWiM) is an initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices and experiences of Black women navigating menopause and beyond. Our mission is to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by Black women during this stage of life, advocate for equitable access to healthcare, and foster open, inclusive conversations to dismantle the stigma surrounding menopause.
BWiM hosts free events every other month, featuring Black specialists who address a range of topics, from diet to hair care. We also listen and learn from guest speakers discussing subjects such as premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) and Queer menopause. Through education, advocacy, and community-building, BWiM empowers Black women to navigate their menopause journeys with dignity and confidence. Join us in challenging systemic inequities and creating a more inclusive future for all women in menopause.
Menopause Cafe
Drink tea, eat cake and talk menopause. That’s what hundreds of people do every month at Menopause Cafes: pop-up menopause discussion groups, in person and online, all over the world. Menopause Cafe charity (registered charity: SC048435) supports the volunteers who host these discussion groups. These group-led discussions are open to all ages and genders. The charity also produces the Menopause Awareness Ribbon. Wear one to help us make menopause part of everyday conversation!
